VETERAN STORM CHASING TEAM TO APPEAR AT LA TRAVEL SHOW
ARLINGTON, Texas – Veteran storm chasers from Texas-based Tempest Tours, Inc. will appear at the LA Times Travel & Adventure Show on Saturday, February 10th and Sunday February 11th. The event will take place at Long Beach Convention Center. The company specializes in storm chasing tours, leading guests from across the world into America’s Tornado Alley each spring to search for nature’s most spectacular weather.
“Our goal is to introduce the science of storms to our guests,” said Tempest Tours founder and president, Martin Lisius. “We provide an in-depth look at the dynamics responsible for the development of tornadoes. Guests leave with a better understanding of how our atmosphere works and a greater respect for severe weather.”
In the past four seasons, the Tempest team has forecasted and intercepted over 60 tornadoes. “Even though we can’t guarantee a tornado, we can promise our guests the opportunity to live the life of a real storm chaser for a few days,” Lisius said. “That in itself is an adventure of a lifetime for many of them.”
Tempest Tours will operate 7 tours this spring, from May through early July, the peak of tornado activity in the US. Tours will depart from Dallas-Ft. Worth, Oklahoma City and Denver. Fees range from $1,995.00 to $2,795.00 per person for 6, 7, 8 and 10 days of storm chasing. Information, including tour schedule and rates, can be accessed on-line at www.tempesttours.com.
