Philadelphia Travel & Adventure Show Now Largest Travel Show in Philadelphia
Inaugural Event Draws Record Attendance and Worldwide Exhibitor Support

Milford, CT (APRIL 22, 2015) – Travel Enthusiasts came out in record numbers to the 2015 Inaugural Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show.   Unicomm, LLC, organizers of the U.S.’s largest series of travel shows, reported that just over 11,700 travelers attended the inaugural weekend-long travel extravaganza.

Travel enthusiasts escaped the cold Philadelphia weather and swarmed the convention center to visit over 160 exhibitor booths representing destinations from around the world from Maine to New Zealand to Nepal.

“Philadelphia was our final stop in our seven show series, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the esults,” said John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm, LLC.  Golicz continued, “It exceeded our expectations for a first-time launch, which proves Philadelphians have a strong desire to travel and meet face to face with worldwide travel experts, but there just wasn’t a travel show that met their needs, until now.”

“I was very impressed with the genuine interest that was displayed at the Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show,” said Stacey Mitchell, Director of Sales with Florida Keys & Key West.  “We were able to persuade at least twelve different parties throughout the weekend to visit the Keys as opposed to their traditional vacation spots.”

Other exhibitors also reported strong bookings and intentions to book, along with quality conversations with serious travelers.  “We were pleasantly surprised with the attendance at the Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show.   We even had someone book a trip to our resort on the spot which is only the second time it has ever happened to us,” said Matt Swartz with Little Salmon Lodge.

Cruise Planners’ Tony Bello, Franchise Sales Specialist, also shared similar sentiments, “The Philadelphia Travel and Adventure Show really surpassed expectations. The attendance was overwhelming and their enthusiasm was off the charts. Cruise Planners is looking forward to returning to the City of Brotherly Love next year!”

This year’s show featured some of the biggest names in travel, including Travel Channel’s Samantha Brown, The Amazing Race’s Phil Keoghan, and Patricia Schultz, author of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, as well as, highly popular destination specific seminars on Italy, India, Alaska, Cuba and more.   The event’s Taste of Travel Stage offered on the spot culinary demos, including Dock to Dish Key West co-founder Paul Menta who delighted audiences with his delicious dishes featuring local Key West Stone Crabs along with other seafood specialties.  The Global Beats Stage offered non-stop musical and dance performances representing cultures from around the world.  The show was also packed with fun family activities, including a 15,000 gallon heated scuba diving pool and rock wall.

The Philadelphia Travel & Adventure Show returns March 19-20, 2016 to the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  For more information on attending or exhibiting in the event, please visit www.TravelShows.com or call 203-878-2577.
